Havn Consultancy undertakes engagements in a structured and clearly defined manner to preserve independence, objectivity and defensibility. Engagement models are designed to support board-level oversight and regulatory confidence without creating conflicts of interest or operational dependency.
All engagements are conducted in a review and assurance capacity only and are tailored to the specific context and risk profile of each organisation.
Independent Review Engagements
Independent review engagements provide boards and executives with objective insight into the design, implementation and effectiveness of governance, risk and compliance arrangements.
Engagements typically involve document review, targeted interviews and control testing and conclude with a written, board-ready report outlining findings, observations and areas of material risk.
Risk & Compliance Assurance Reviews
Risk and compliance assurance reviews focus on the independent assessment of enterprise and operational risk frameworks, compliance programs and internal controls.
These engagements provide a clear view of residual risk and areas requiring attention and do not extend into implementation, remediation or management activities.
Incident or Control Effectiveness Reviews
Where incidents, control failures or near-misses have occurred, Havn Consultancy undertakes structured, independent reviews to identify root causes, contributing factors and systemic issues.
These engagements are designed to support organisational oversight and learning, without assuming responsibility for remediation or operational response.
Court-Mandated and Regulator-Facing Engagements
For matters involving courts, regulators or enforceable undertakings, Havn Consultancy undertakes independent review engagements aligned to formal requirements and expectations.
These engagements are led directly by the Managing Director & Principal Consultant to ensure senior oversight, neutrality and defensibility.
Engagement Process
Engagements are agreed following an initial discussion to understand context and objectives. Scope, deliverables and boundaries are documented in a written scope of work prior to commencement.
Independence Statement
To preserve independence, Havn Consultancy does not:
Implement or manage controls or remediation programs
Act in operational or management roles
Provide legal advice or compliance certification
Deliver ongoing advisory or embedded support
